Biography of Mr. Rartindra Nath Guha (R. N. Guha)
Mr. Rartindra Nath Guha, popularly known as R. N. Guha, was born on July 5, 1948, in
Calcutta (now Kolkata), West Bengal. He was born into a distinguished family—his father,
Late Mr. Sushil Kumar Guha, was an Electrical Engineer, and his mother, Late Mrs.
Parimal Hasini Guha, was a devoted homemaker.
R. N. Guha completed his schooling at South Suburban School, located on Haris Mukherjee
Road, Kolkata. With a strong interest in healthcare, he pursued Radiography training from
the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER), under the
Department of Health, Government of West Bengal.
Professional Journey
After completing his training, Mr. Guha began his professional career at the Calcutta
Medical Research Institute (CMRI). His dedication to patient care led him to join the
Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited Hospital, Durgapur, West Bengal, where he
played a crucial role in providing medical services.
A Vision for Social Welfare
While working in the medical field, Mr. Guha developed a deep sense of compassion for
people in need. Driven by the desire to extend medical assistance beyond hospital walls, he
founded R. N. Guha Foundation, a Section 8 NGO Company dedicated to serving
underprivileged communities with essential healthcare and humanitarian support.
Through his relentless efforts, Mr. Guha has made a lasting impact on society, offering
medical aid and improving the lives of countless individuals. His vision and dedication
continue to inspire many in the field of healthcare and social service.
